1. Secretary of the London Symphony Orchestra. The invitation was to a concert at the Royal Festival Hall on March 18th where Barbirolli was conducting the London Symphony Orchestra in the Tallis Fantasia, with works by Beethoven, Chausson and Brahms’s 4th Symphony.
