Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to John Buckland

Letter No.: VWL5013

The White Gates,
Dorking, Surrey.

15th March, 1950.

Dear Buckland
I have written to the Secretary of the E.F.D.S.1 and asked him to put you in touch with someone who will tell you where to find a Morris class near you.
I think it is splendid of you to be doing all this physical work and though at the actual moment it may prevent your composing, I think probably the long hours of manual labour may set your mind at work and when the necessary leisure comes you will find that the stream is getting into flow again.
Yrs R Vaughan Williams

(R. Vaughan Williams).

John Buckland, Esq.,
2, Grosvenor Road,
Seaford,
Sussex.
