Dear Buckland
I was very glad to get your letter – I have been a long time answering it – but Gloucester1 & various things intervened. I am interested in your views of the Lakes – they have always depressed me – I wd much rather go to the Wiltshire downs – but then I don’t like mountains. I expect it is my shallow mind which is afraid of being stirred to the depths & I am too old to climb up hills now!
I wonder how you found Scotland – even less lovely than the lakes is my impressions!
I expect we shall meet at RCM2 next week – & I shall like very much to look at your work
Yrs
