Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to John Armitage Davison

Letter No.: VWL5193

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

May 30th 1954.

Dear Mr Davison,1
Thank you for your interesting programme. I hope the concert will be a success. Your number 12, Almighty Word, is, I imagine, a new work published by the O.U.P.2 and it is not by me, but by Anthony Scott. The harmonies, other than Scott’s are direct from Tallis. Please see that this is corrected in your final programme.
Yours sincerely,
R Vaughan Williams
