Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Joan Western

Letter No.: VWL781

From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

September 16 [1935]

Dear Mrs Western

Many thanks for the new circulars.  If Miss Cohen1 will stick to her original idea and borrow a drawing room for a recital I suppose we must gratefully accept – But we must firmly stick out against anything that will involve us in expense.
I am next in London, naturally, on Wednesday 25 – Would that be too far on for a Committee meeting?2
Yours sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams
