Letter No.: VWL5083

From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

Feb 13 [late 1930?s]

My sweetest Jean
Here is the engagement for March 16 – I have left out March 9th as you said you cd not do it.1
I have not asked Ruth & Vera2 because I must first ask others who have played for us before – But will you send me their addresses in case I want them.
No hospitality & no fun this year! So we offer “union rates”
There is an extra string rehearsal in Dorking on March 15 2.30 But this is not “in the contract” – So I do not press it – but it wd be very useful to have you there if you were free.
It was lovely seeing you yesterday and all that – But I did not have enough of “all that”
All my love
Uncle Ralph
