Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Janet Fraser
Letter No.: VWL5146
From R. VAUGHAN WILLIAMS,
THE WHITE GATES,
WESTCOTT ROAD,
DORKING.
2nd September, 1947.
Dear Janet
I listened into you on Sunday; unfortunately, my set had a bad rattle, but the voice sounded as lovely as ever.1
I was not quite happy about your idea of the Water Mill. It seems to me it ought to be much more leisurely and almost lazy. It sounded a bit hurried.
Perhaps we may go together to see them one day.
Love Uncle Ralph
R. VAUGHAN WILLIAMS
