THE LETTERS OF RALPH VAUGHAN WILLIAMS

Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to James McKay Martin

Letter No. VWL1980

Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to James McKay Martin

Letter No.: VWL1980

The White Gates,
Dorking, Surrey.

1st March, 1950

Dear Martin

Your work is bearing good fruit and I think certainly we can go ahead and try and find out some place for him1 to go to.  Can you find out about that yourself, or is your work at St Paul’s making you too busy. I would do it but I am quite ignorant in these matters.
Meanwhile I send my contribution.
When the time comes I will certainly write to him myself if you think it the best plan, but we can perhaps discuss about that personally when the time comes.2
Of course we ought, besides my personal letter, to have a more or less formal letter signed by all those who are taking part.
Yours sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams
