I was reminded of you & your splendid productions at Oxford in 1930.1  Last night only2  I saw an (excellent) performance of Sir John by the “Peter Jones” staff.3
I still have your delightful picture hanging on my wall

1. Of Sir John in Love from 8-10 May, 1930, directed by Jack Gordon. There was also a production of Hugh the Drover at King’s College Cambridge in 1930.
3. A performance of Sir John was given by the Peter Jones Operatic Society on 2 May 1951. conducted by Geoffrey Corbett, in Peter Jones, Sloane Square; The Times report was printed on 3 May.
