Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to J.M. Martin
Letter No.: VWL3054
The White Gates,
Dorking, Surrey.
28th December, 1949
Dear Martin
Thank you so much for your interesting but painful letter.1 I wonder what we can do? That week you describe in Gloucestershire seems to be the right thing. I wish we could extend it to six months. If there is any question of a fund to help on that idea let me know what can be done about it. Also if there is anything else I can do?
Our friend has always been so helpful to me that I should like very much to be able to do something for him.
Yours sincerely
R Vaughan Williams
