Dear Schwiller
On Tuesday March 24th the Dorking Festival Chorus will perform St. Matthew Passion, Bach.
I do hope that you can come as leader and Soloist.
There will be two rehearsals on the day of the concert.
11. am (with soloists)
2.30 pm Full rehearsal
Performance 7. pm finishing about 9.45pm.
All in the new hall.
I do not know what the right fee to offer is for this, but please let me know what is right, because I know my committee would want to do what is fair.
On the evening of the 23rd we have a rehearsal in Dorking with chorus and the amateur part of the orchestra.  If your other engagements permit it would be a great help to me if it could be arranged for you to attend this.  But of course you must not miss a concert engagement for it, so we can settle this later on.
N.B  This is quite a separate engagement from the Festival in April for which I shall have the pleasure of sending you an invitation later on.
My kind regards to Mrs Schwiller & the quartet.  You will be glad I know to hear that Miss Brennand has got an engagement with the Old Vic.
Yours sincerely
R Vaughan WIlliams
