Dear Schwiller
I was at “Friederike” the other night & saw you in the distance – I came round to the stage door in the interval but you were not to be found.
You have been so very kind in helping my lame ducks that I do not like to bother you again. But would you give an audition to a violinist – very good I think – she has been doing cafe ^& cinema work up till now, but is now like many others up a tree, & thinks she might get some deputising.
If you wd do this you write direct to her
Miss Mimi Brennand
27 St Stephens Square
Bayswater W.2.
Of course the fee for the audition will be my affair – if you wd kindly let me know what it will be.
Are you free on March 24th – when we do Matt: Pass in the New Dorking Halls – Formal engagement will go on later – but I do hope you can come.
Yrs
R Vaughan Williams
