My house is all shut up & I cannot get at anything until December.1 I don’t think I’ve got any band parts of “Sleepers Wake”2 – But if by December you’ve failed elsewhere I will then be at home & will look & see.

Iris Lemare had founded, in 1931, the Macnaghten-Lemare Concerts and the Lemare orchestra. She was the first woman to conduct the BBC Symphony Orchestra. VW had provided both encouragement and financail support for the concerts. -
