Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Hubert Foss

Letter No.: VWL2481

The White Gates,
Dorking,
Surrey.

8th October, 1952

Dear Hubert

Thank you very much for your letter. It was kind of Mrs. Foss and you to allow that invasion the other day.
I am quite in favour of the idea of television.1 Kenneth Wright must point out where the music wants adding to or subtracting from. I do not mind quoting from my earlier works but when I find, as I do, that some of my later works quote from this one then I must alter this rather than alter my later ones.
Yrs
