Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Hans Vigeland
Letter No.: VWL2908
From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regent’s Park,
London, N.W.1.
March 1st 1956
Dear Mr Vigeland,1
Thank you very much for your letter, which brings back to our minds those delightful days in Buffalo, and our pleasure in meeting your wife and yourself.
I wish I could help you with a hymn, but I fear I have so many things on hand that I do not dare promise anything more. May I say, that if were otherwise possible the question of fee would not stand in my way.
Please give our affectionate regards to Mr and Mrs Krips.
I am so glad you like my book,
Yours sincerely,
R Vaughan Williams
1. Vigeland was organist in Buffalo, and had met VW in 1954 when he visited Buffalo.
