Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Gwen Beckett (BBC)

Letter No.: VWL1905

The White Gates,
Dorking.

March 12 [1944]

Dear Mrs Beckett

Many thanks for both your letters.  Could you kindly tell me what time I ought to leave St Pancras to get to Bedford by 2.30 – Also when I ought to leave Bedford to catch the 9.18 train from Victoria (that is the latest train – I should prefer to get home earlier).
Mr Atterburg’s letter was very interesting – I expect he means “tone-colour” by “clay”
Yrs sincerely

R Vaughan Williams
