Dear Gil
Thank you so much for all you are doing. I feel so guilty when you are working night and day on public affairs you should have all my business thrown in. This is the first I have heard from, or about Catalinet, so I think a letter must have missed. I agree with all you say and would be very glad if the parties concerned would get on with it.¹ The only thing that sticks in my gizzard is having to go with my hat in my hand to the Salvation Army and say “Please approve of my work”. But I suppose that cannot be helped.²
All goes well with us, but we want to be home.

1. Possibly in connection with VW’s tuba concerto, which is dedicated to the London Symphony Orchestra and had been first performed by Catelinet on June 13; a recording was made the next day by the same performers.
2. Catelinet was a performer in the Salvation Army band.
