Dear Sir
I shall be pleased to see you on Friday 22nd – I suggest your coming about 12.30 & then we wd have lunch & work after – Then you cd get back in daylight.
The best way is from Waterloo to Dorking North – Then a ‘bus (every 1/2 hour at 1/4 to & 1/4 past the hour e.g. 11.45 or 12.15) to “Star Corner” (Fire Station). Then walk straight on the Westcott (= Guildford) Road about 300 yards.
Then a little lane to the right with a board “To the White Gates”
Yrs faithfully
