Dear Mr Cockshott
Thankyou for your compositions – the little one is charming & the notes ought to sound well – I am not sure that there are not rather too many consecutive triads!
I hope you will do some film music, it is interesting & exasperating work – but I believe has possibilities.
I wish we cd do some more for Grace Williams – they ought to do more in Wales, with all their nationalism – they do perform her occasionally. The trouble is to my mind, that her music does not quite hit the nail on the head. By the way she wrote to me quite a long time ago about a symphony on Owen Glendower – do you know how it is getting on?
Yrs
R Vaughan Williams
