Westcott Road,
Dorking.

Dec 18 [1947]

Dear Parker

We tried to listen to you last night but interference made it almost impossible.  The New Ghost seemed to be going very well as far as I could judge – I am so glad you like it.
The Water Mill came through better.  I enjoyed that very much though it went a bit quicker than I imagined it – do you think it ought to sound rather ‘lazier’?1
Thank you very much for what you say about the O.C.B.2
Yours sincerely
R. Vaughan Williams
