Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Geoffrey Bush
Letter No.: VWL1161
The White Gates,
Dorking.
March 17 [1937]
Dear Mr Bush
I was very glad to have news of you. I quite agree with you that love & enthusiasm goes a long way to cover technical faults – indeed without that the finest technical performance in the world becomes sounding brass and tinkling cymbal.1
I will do my best to listen on Tuesday
Yours sincerely
R. Vaughan Williams
