The White Gates,
Dorking, Surrey.

16th April 1952

Dear George

I have seen advertisements of “Juniper Hall” and hope very much to be able to go to it.1  I believe the Leatherhead Repertory are very good. It ought to be a good subject for a play. I wonder if it would make into an opera – that is chiefly what I go to plays for.
When are you coming down to Leith Hill Place again? I hope soon.2
