Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to G.E. Moore

Letter No.: VWL3062

From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

November 23 [1949]

Dear Moore

I have received a warm letter from the Provost of Kings1 saying that he considers Bob Trevelyan is “well worthy of the serious consideration of the Council” and that he will write to the Vice Chancellor2 and will speak to E.M. Forster – He also thinks that Desmond McCarthy might be approached, but thinks it would come better from you.
Will you do this – as well as writing to the Provost? – but if you do not want to write to Desmond I will of course do this myself.
Thank you so much for all your help.
Yrs

R. Vaughan Williams
