Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Fritz Hart
Letter No.: VWL968
From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
[About 7th August 1936]
Dear Fritz
Imogen’s address is
54 Ormonde Terrace
London N.W.8
Tel. Primrose 4871
But she is probably away or at the Stratford Summer School now – (Conference Hall Stratford on Avon). I would suggest ringing up to find out where she is.
It was splendid seeing you & reviving our old friendship & talking over memories of our past selves & those who are gone.
Yrs
R.V.W.
P.S. Do come again one day before you go back.

General Notes:
Imogen Holst was at the English Folk Dance and Song (EFDSS) Summer School at Stratford 1-14 August 1936, and then sailed for a visit to the USA which lasted until early October. On her return VW wrote to her asking is she had seen Hart, who was her godfather and wanted very much to meet her (see VWL1092).
