I have written an anthem, but at present it is enclosed in the Service Book of the L.C.C.A. When I come back to England in March it will, I hope, be published and I will send you a copy.1 I was v much interested to hear of yr musical activities. I hope we shall meet when I return to London.
R. Vaughan Williams
1. The anthem was O Praise the Lord of Heaven, Catalogue of Works 1913/3, for two full choirs and semi-chorus unaccompanied, written for the 40th Annual Festival of the London Church Choir Association at St Paul’s Cathedral on 13th November 1913. It was published in 1914 by Stainer & Bell.
