Many thanks for both your letters – please forgive delay in answering
(1)  Your letter of March 9^th
I think I had better get the “boiling down” done & risk it – otherwise it might be too late – I think I shall ask Constant Lambert to do it if he is willing – he knows the conditions so well – I will of course keep your confidence over all this.¹
(2) Your letter of March 10^th
I will try & find another programme note of  “Job” but I fear I sent you my last one
I find that I never, owing to being both lazy & busy, joined the “Camargo” as I meant to.  Do you think it w^d be indecent for me to join now just as you propose producing a work of mine – if you think not I sh^d be glad to do so.²

1. Work on the score of Job, Catalogue of Works 1930/5, to reduce the orchestration for the stage production. See VWL880. Constant Lambert conducted the Camargo Society’s performance on 5 July 1931.
2. Edwin Evans, the critic, had founded the Camargo Society. VW did join – see VWL1155.
