We recommended Gellhorn1 for release about 3 weeks ago. I have written to tell him so – But I do not in the least know whether any attention is paid to our recommendations – I am so sorry you have been ill again.

1. Peter Gellhorn had been Music Director at Toynbee Hall until 1939. He was interned during the war as an enemy alien, and following his release from internment became Assistant Conductor at the Sadler’s Wells Opera. See International Who’s Who in Music, 12th ed. (1990).
