Dear Dent

It is most fearfully kind of you & I accept with gratitude. The wind parts are at present out being copied in. But they will dribble back slowly. Meantime I send the percussion to go on with. Wd you send back the slow movement as soon as done so that I can get it bound.1

I am so glad that you are managing to keep music going in Camb:2

1. Dent and others were putting together the lost parts and score of VW’s London Symphony. See VWL349, VWL350, VWL409 &c.
2. An indication that this was written after the outbreak of war in August.
