Dear Rubbra

I’ve heard the Missa at last & it is fine.  I’m not sure about the notation – why not (e.g) 4/2 or even 4/4 for the end?1

1. Probably concerning the Missa Cantuariensis, composed in 1945. It was broadcast on the Third Programme on 6 November 1946, at a time when VW was conducting A London Symphony in the Albert Hall and so not able to hear it.
He possibly heard it at Holy Trinity, Kingsway, on Wednesday 5 March 1947, when The Phoebus Singers under Charles Kennedy Scott included it in a recital of church music.
