Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Diana Awdry
Letter No.: VWL1113

Westcott Road,
Dorking.
[26th December 1936]
Dear Diana
The lovely Caerphilly is already ½ gone – we love it & I have made my entire meal off it for two evenings – together with some Welsh Butter sent me by a Welsh pupil1 – so I am becoming quite Welsh look-you! I do hope you have had a calm Xmas – I did only I ate a lot of forbidden things!
I read your letter in the Spectator.
Love from
Uncle Ralph
