I shall be happy to accept your kind invitation to continue my Presidency of the Cranleigh Choral Society.
As regards the Leith Hill Festival we have continued the concerts though not the competitions throughout the war. If you want further particulars please write to the Hon Sec Miss Cullen North Acre, Westcott, Dorking.

An undated letter from Dr Ralph Vaughan Williams, accepting the invitation to continue as President, is assumed to be from around this time”. VW was President of the Society, 1938-1958.
