Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Clive Carey

Letter No.: VWL4835

From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

[?January, 1946]

Dear Clive
Thank you so much for your letter – you know I appreciate your criticism whether pro or contra.  As regards the letter scene I have a rough score here of “Windsor Forest” which has sigh no more’ in it with a new end – But it occurs to me that it would be simpler for you to borrow score & parts of “Windsor Forest” from the OUP & use that for the end of the scene – so far as I can remember it is identical except for the end.
