1. Two Organ Preludes (Catalogue of Works 1956/3). The Reading Standard reported on 24 August 1956 that the 33rd annual congress of the Incorporated Association of Organists would be held in London from 2 July 1957 to 2 August, to be attended by 600 organists [in fact 884 turned up]. VW would be its President. It is possible that the two Preludes (David of the White Rock and St. David’s Day) were written and published to be ready for this event.
