Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Christopher Morris (OUP)
Letter No.: VWL3590
From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.
October 15th 1957.
Dear Mr Morris,
As regards On Christmas Night I think it could be played through as it stands; the carol tunes are cued in I know, and I think, in a concert version, the vocal parts in the Marley scene could be done without, but I will look at the score and see.
Yes the voice parts on pp 5-7 vocal score can be left out.1
Yours sincerely,
R. Vaughan Williams
