Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Christopher Morris (OUP)

Letter No.: VWL3320

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

[On or about 10th April 1956]

Dear Mr. Morris
I return the proof of the Aeroplanes1 herewith.
I am sorry you did not show me your registration before printing because much of it is quite different from what I intended – I think it will make things clearer if I make a separate list of the alterations in registration.2  Dr. Darke has played through the work to me today & he quite agrees with my scheme.3
I fear I must ask for another proof. Dr. Darke is getting anxious as to how long he will have for rehearsal4
Yrs truly

R. Vaughan Williams
