Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Cedric Thorpe Davie
Letter No.: VWL1112
From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
December 20 [1936]
Dear Cedric
I can’t get more out of Waddington1 at present than that he doesn’t like the libretto2 – so I cannot say there is a definite chance as yet, but I think that if when other things bring you to London you and he and one or two others could meet and go through it they might be able to come to a definite decision one way or the other.
Yrs
