Dear Cedric
I will asnwer your letter about the position personnel of the band shortly. I should like to see you about it very much some time when it is convenient to you. At present I am free except on the following dates:
November 20th, 22nd., 23rd., 24th., 26th., 29th.
December 1st., 7th., 10th.,

but even on those days I am usually free in the morning.
As regards a new leader for the seconds, I rather feel that Kantrovitch may say “Either Caesar or nobody”. She is quite willing, as we know, to play at the back desk as she is not leading, but whether she would care to be asked to play second to Schwiller I do not know. It requires thinking out.
May Hope will do well to lead the seconds of the First orchestra in the Passion.¹
