My dear Cedric,
I see from the Mus Ass. Minutes that Music and Letters is in Low water, and requires £100 a year to keep it going. I should like to help with the first year. I want my gift to be anonymous, I am therefore making the cheque payable to you.
We are having a fine time in America, bathing in the Pacific last week, now snow in Ithaca with the Grand Canyon thrown in, – but we were not thrown in to it.
The latest story is that it all arose from a Scotsman grubbing after a lost nickel.
Yrs
Ralph
