Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Cedric Glover
Letter No.: VWL3281
From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.
June 27th 1958.
My dear Cedric,
I need hardly say that I am desolated, but the doctor is adamant, and will not even let me go as far as my study yet, – though except for this wretched leg I am perfectly well. I have insisted on Ursula going to represent me, and she will tell you how dreadfully sorry I am. Please give my greeting to all my kind hosts, and if the Lord Mayor is present, as I understand he will be, please give him my profound apologies for my unavoidable absence. I envy you all what I am sure will be a delightful evening.
Yours Ralph
