Thank you all for a splendid performance last night. I know well how much natural talent, hard work and devotion to artistic ideals this has involved.
You know, as well as I, that this could not have been achieved without the inspired leadership of Boris Ord and Dennis Arundell; and they know that their work would have been wasted if they had not had such a noble army to lead to victory.
