Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Arnold Barter

Letter No.: VWL2099

The White Gates,
Dorking.

Sept 22 1946

Dear Barter

Thank you very much – I have passed on the name to Mr Cooper.1
I hear on all hands what a fine show Dyson gave of my tune – In a way I wish I had been there – on the other hand in that case I should probably have had to conduct it and this fine performance wd have been lost.2
Yrs

R. Vaughan Williams
