Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Alan Frank (OUP)

Letter No.: VWL5325

10 Hanover Terrace, N.W.1.

October 11th 1953.

Dear Frank,
I think I had better send this on to you.1 As you know I am gradually collecting up all my Flourishes to send them you [sic] in case you would be prepared to do anything with them.
Yours,
RVW

R. Vaughan Williams

1. VW had received a request from Will Sahnow, General Secretary of the Workers’ Music Association, presumably asking if there was a collection of VW’s Flourishes available. Frank’s reply indicates that at this stage they cannot make an amicable arrangement with the WMA.
