Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Alan Frank (OUP)
Letter No.: VWL1158
From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
Monday [1st March 1937?]
Dear Frank
I found at rehearsal today that one of the Viola parts (‘Flourish’1) is a bar short.
In case by any chance one of the incorrect parts should have been sent to your opalographist I enclose a correct copy – Please let me have it back after checking the other by it as I want to collect them all up here.
The bar in question is between [1] and [3], [1] to [2] should be 8 bars, [2] to [3] should be 15 bars.
Yours sincerely
R. Vaughan Williams
