Dear Frank,
Thank you for all your letters. I quite agree to the two about Royalties. As regards your favour of March 11th, Ref ACF:119 F. the answer is in the NEGATIVE.1
I have made a preface to the carols, but I have at the moment lost it. I will send it on to Martin Shaw when I find it.

1. Frank had written to VW on March 11 to put a suggestion to him that he should write an oratorio on the theme of Pilgrim’s Progress, using or adapting some of the music from the opera.
