Thankyou so much for your letter – you are being noble in persisting in doing British music to unwilling foreigners
As regards your queries1 – last movement 5 bars before (12) – I don’t know what I meant but what I want is low B for the Vas (doubling the 2nd horn) i.e. instead of – 3 bars after 12 Fl and Ob obviously F
No don’t double the horns – I only put it in because Malcolm2 worried me into it
The records of Job have come – and the few sides I heard sounded fine – then unfortunately our gramophone went wrong!
