I should, of course, love you to give a first performance of something of mine, and if I ever write anything more for orchestra we will try to consider it.
I asked John to do this last one because the year before he had done all my symphonies at his concerts and I felt I owed him something.¹
I will write to the papers about Kings Weston.²
