May 28th 1955

My dear Adrian,
In answer to your queries about alterations in Antartica,

page 12:    bar 5. Dimminuendo [sic] instead of swell in wind machine.

page 42     bar 1. Trumpet quasi forte

page 69    bar 3. Cello solo to double first horn. This was not done at the recording, but I should like to try it.

page 95.  after Fig 10. Trombones with organ.

page 125: bar 4. Violas play with clarinets for 11 bars. I do not think we did this in the record, but it is down in my new set of corrections which I sent to you.

page 134  Bell: bass clef.

page 125  bar 4. Do not delete the harp, but mark it ppp.

There are also the newer corrections, of which I think I sent you a copy!

Yrs
