My dear Ralph
Thank you for your lovely note. I don’t think I need to tell you what a joy it was to have you & Ursula with us for your Birthday Concert, an occasion we shall all remember with affectionate gratitude, in that we were pleased to honour in our Centenary the greatest of living Composers. What wonderful news about No 9. Let us know as soon as it becomes available (after its initial performances) & eager hands will be clutching for the score.1
Best love to you both in which Evelyn2 joins –
Yours ever
John
