Letter from G.M. Trevelyan to Ralph Vaughan Williams
Letter No.: VWL2483
23, West Road,
Cambridge
Oct 11th 1952
Dear VW
All England is rejoicing over your birthday and you may be sure I do too. We have both achieved very much what we were respectively dreaming of at Seatoller in 1895. (Maurice’s picture of the party is on my mantlepiece1). We have had fortunate lives in a very unfortunate age. We neither of us can move about much now, but if ever you find yourself in Cambridge do look me up.
Yours ever
G.M. Trevelyan
