Dr. Ralph Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Dorking, England
Dear Master,
In regard to your letter of March 26, I would say that it came too late to do anything concerning the matter suggested. Needless to say, I am very much interested in the Holst Memorial and hope that something can be done for this at the very beginning of next season.
Please let me know if you have something new to us in Chicago. So far I have played your London and Pastoral Symphonies, Fantasia on a Theme by Tallis, Concerto Accademico, and the Song-Cycle for Tenor. Especially your London Symphony and the Concerto enjoy great popularity here, and I wish I could do a new work of yours as one of my novelties for the coming season.
Sincerely yours,
Frederick A. Stock
